Resource Redistribution Program

Welcome to our very first blog post!  We’re so excited to be here in Ridgewood.  Stephanie and I have long dreamed of a green and purple affordable clinic loaded with greenery and good vibes.   Speaking of good vibes, I have some exciting news about a program we’ve started.  

Until recently Stephanie and I were both working at an upscale clinic (that certainly had upscale prices) and we both also have a long history of working in community acupuncture.  The treatments we were providing were the same whether we were in an affordable community clinic or a clinic that had 3 digit prices.  The only difference is that the community clinics had an open floor plan with communal treatment space and the more expensive clinics had small stuffy rooms.  It began to feel strange that four walls equaled four times the price.  

When we began talking about our plans to start an affordable practice, people began asking if there was any way they could pay more than our standard affordable rate.  We began to think about how we can engage with our financially abundant patients in a meaningful way to better serve the larger community.   

Our answer is what we call The Resource Redistribution Program.  When you book an appointment at The Rooted Refuge, you have a choice between booking a regular appointment at our standard rate or a more expensive appointment at the Resource Redistribution rate.  The treatment you receive is the same no matter which appointment you book.  What makes the Resource Redistribution appointment different is that not only do you get a treatment but you help fund half cost treatments to people in the community who have fewer resources.   You are also able to contribute other amounts to our Resource Redistribution Program. Let your practitioner know during your appointment if you wish to contribute.
